Kerr Wattie is an amazing young man who is featured on this site in a video. Kerr's brother, Skye is presently cycling across Canada to raise awareness of the need to listen to the voice of those who don't use words and often use augmentative communication. He is on his second day at the moment.
This is a courageous journey of passion, will and strength. It is vital that the word gets out there, especially with the media to ensure that his efforts over the next few months have maximum impact.
There is an amazing website http://kilometresforcommunication.com/ which includes a number of stories, including our daughter's story (Rebecca Beayni). You can follow his journey by clicking on the word "blog". You can also get regular updates if you request it.
This is a good news story at a time when we need to hear good news. Please share it with others so that we can all cheer Skye, Kerr and family on.
Skye should reach Toronto by the first few days in July (early for the TSI) but perhaps we can connect with him by Skype when we are together at TSI...just a thought.
