My friend David Towell and I have had the chance to use The World Cafe explore some of the ways that people in two English localities make sense of the connections between local citizen action and policies that are intended to respond to climate change, sustainable economic development, resilience, and social inclusion and how our concern for the inclusion of people with disabilities fits into all this.
I've attached a brief report of some of the thinking by a diverse group in Wiltshire as they considered the question, "What is a good community?"
The handout has the link to another ning site, from which you can download our longer report if you are interested.
Please use the handout in any way that you think will be useful.
Here is a one-page guide from this project that provides suggestions about hosting a community conversation about sustainable and inclusive communities. (It follows The World Cafe format).
