Comment by Rose Marshall on May 10, 2011 at 6:03am How wonderful that people are having this experience.
I was very moved when I saw Lois present at the last Inclusion Institute and would love to be involved in setting one up in Glasgow.
Long may your circle last, wide may its influence extend and deep may its roots grow into the community it creates.
Comment by Linda Keys on May 5, 2011 at 9:02am Some nice words about our circle:
My name is Ahmad and I came to UK early Sep 2010 and settled in Edinburgh since mid Sep. Since then, to speed up my understanding and familiarity of the new environment, specifically people’s likes and dislikes, I was looking to find a way to make more friends and socialise with others. I was one of my best luck to be aware of the CIRCLE by a flyer distributed in North Edinburgh Festival 2010.
The first attendance made the big impression on me and my family, we were warmly and simply welcomed by Linda and this removed our fear of getting into a new community of strangers, It is one of the all life undeletable memories. The appreciation for the food prepared by my wife was over expected. It did not take us too much to get along with others like we have known each other for ages. The simple procedure for expressing participants’ opinion on the topic, gave me the courage and brave to say what I would like with little stress.
At CIRCLE we practice to respect others get rid of any cause for discrimination, thank others without prejudice and taking it hard to find an outstanding reason, and offering others a help hand.
