Thank you to Bonnie and to Laura for her presentation on LIGHTS
I was also extremely happy to meet a mother from PLECA :-) PLECA is creating another alternative living arrangement I find most interesting.
A reminder: Not all of us vacation in the Caribbean, own our houses, travel to our cottages ... or have money ($20,000. was mentioned as a low estimate) to invest in what will be, in the end, a rental situation. As a single parent who raised 6 alone, thinking outside the box was a necessity to survival,.. and I believe that ODSP recipients, and those of us who live in poverty, also have creative ideas regarding how we could develop homes for our adult children with disabilities .. if we had organizational backing.

Come meet other parents and their adult children, hear Laura from Lights tell about the new adventure and talk to students from various colleges who are looking for work. -SSAH workers, live in facilitators for you home.
