Toronto Summer Institute - July 7 - 12, 2012 "Inclusion • Community • Diversity"

TSI%202012.REGISTRATION.rtf

The "Toronto Summer Institute" begins it's  26th season - by looking forward to the future we want to create. Looking back, we see enormous change - but also many more miles to go. Our focus will be to honor our learning, and think about the challenges and opportunities of the future together. We will be a diverse learning community and as a group we will create our learning agendas together.

Come and join us: spend time with John McKnight; John O'Brien; Connie Lyle O'Brien; Mike Green; Judith Snow; Gary Bunch; Gerv Leyden; Erwin Wieringa; Alan Sloan; Wayne Helgason; Glenn Cochrane; Peter Leidy; Lynda Kahn; Jack Pearpoint and many more.

We will meet each other in hospitable conversations. We will learn with one another. We will have fun at the glitter party. And we will return to our communities energized and reinvigorated to strengthen our relationships and networks in our communities.

 Hello all,

During our TSI Module Gentle Heart Fearless Mind with Alan Sloan,  Kathy Adcock shared this quote, "  There is nothing as Strong as Gentleness, and nothing as Gentle as Strength." anonymous source

Thank you Kathy!

Hi everyone,

Jack and John kindly researched where we might see and hear a talk on social innovation by Adam Kahane at the University of Waterloo. Adam is the author of Power and Love, the book I used as a reference during the TSI program last week. Here is the link: http://vimeo.com/9321177. Once you start playing the video, wait about 30 seconds and then move the cursor ahead to 15 minutes, 40 seconds. Those first 15 minutes are other folks praising themselves and the University. Enjoy.

Wow...! Hum... WOW!!!
My TSI experience became quite different than how I had anticipated it to be. What I thought I knew about the people with disabilities and inclusion was not even a little tiny tip of a huge iceberg. I was challenged, humbled and grateful...GRATEFUL...!
