What Matters Now: a free ebook and a new project

Posted on December 15, 2009 at 7:00pm 0 Comments

Here's a free ebook from Seth Godin, author of Tribes. Seth invited 70+ friends to each submit an idea for people to think about as we head into the new year. You are welcome to download it and share it at will, and if you have ideas you'd like to submit to a new project (see below), they'd be warmly welcomed.

Dear David,

I am a good friend of Richard Reho and others you have worked with in NC. I am a parent (my son died 5 yrs ago), and am on a guardianship committee for a friend's daughter. Would it be possible for me to talk with you for 30 min. or so any time that's convenient for you? I need to discuss and brainstorm some ideas for my friend's daughter that would allow her to have a self-determined life and also the supports she needs. My phone # is (828) 775-6333. I live in Asheville, NC. I will be happy to call you if you tell me a good time and your number. Thanks so much, Polly Medlicott

Great idea to network the lunch event, David! I think all I need is to get myself a laptop and then we would be good to go! I can imagine conversations like this happening in person and through technology like these networks, skype, etc. Maybe by next time! I will keep you updated! Until then, I will be sure to post about our conversation at the lunch ... and it would be great to have your contributions in the way of a comment or thought! Great to hear from you! I still haven't stopped thinking about your idea for an e-book. We should discuss this sometime! There are great possibilities! Talk to you soon! Becki

Fantastic idea to create an ebook! Thanks for sharing and leading us this way. I am also a bigh Seth fan and have learned alot from him and from being a part of the www.triiibes.com community. I will surely be thinking about your questions and will send you a response sometime soon. As you work on creating and editting the book, I would be glad to help in any way that I can ... please just let me know if there is ever anything. Thanks again. This is exciting! - Becki
