Profile Information

Please share something about yourself, your work, and what draws you to the Inclusion Network online community.
By day I am a Behavior Specialist at Partnerships in Community Living, in Monmouth, Oregon USA. At night, it is an entirely different story! haha I'm interested in connecting with other future participants for this summer's Inclusion Institute. Can't wait to meet you all!
What are some of the questions you'd like to explore, or conversations you'd like to have with others in this community?
I would like to learn more about PATH and MAP facilitation, and how to help people see how they fit into the big picture!

Hey Destree!

Just checking in with you.  Our project in Portland has stalled a bit with work in San Diego, and elsewhere picking up like crazy.  Anyway, it is on our radar for the future, but has to be pushed a bit.  How are things in Salem?  Hope things are well with you...

We have not come to Portland yet.  Probably late this month or early February.  I will definitely hit you up when we come.  How far from Portland are you?  How was your holiday season?  Things are awesome here and 2011 should prove to be amazing.

Howdy Darling! Great things are happening. I'm married. The wedding was so beautiful. I'm starting a Masters of Social Work program in a couple weeks at Fordham University. I'm still in NYC but we have made plans to move out of our shared apartment by April into our own space near a big park! My students and I read Waddie Welcome the other day and they are inspired which of course inspires me that much more. Life is good. How about you?

Hi Destree - Nice to see you on the network today!!  Thanks!!  What have you been up to lately.  Any new initiatives on the go.  If you feel up to it, would you consider adding a blog post to the network to talk about what you do - or maybe to share a neat story.  We are glad that you are part of this network and would love to learn more about you.  Please share anything that you can!  Thank!  Becki

Girl with the raddest name ever! So good to hear from you. Hey, Beth and I are going to be in Portland for a day in the next couple of weeks. I'll let you know when and see if we can connect. We can talk about our happenings. We were thrilled to follow through on our commitment to host a reading of Waddie Welcome a couple weeks ago. Such a powerful evening. Hosting another on MLK Day. I trust you are being great as usual! Take good care,

Thanks very much for your note! I am so delighted for you and pleased the approaches were useful.
Our dear friends and colleagues there are with OTAC, a technical assistance resource, two brilliant facilitators, Deb Maclean and Tara Asai. I will do the email intro I promised, thkns for the reminder. Additionally, Jow Wykowski is there and he leads an organization, Community Visions, that provides personalized assistance. Innovative, brilliant guy. We serve together on the Board of Neighbours, Inc. NJ.

so more to follow! Could I be so bold as to quote you? Your kind words are much appreciated.

warm regards,

That is so great that you facilitated your first PATH last did I! I facilitated graphics and Beth facilitated the conversation for one of the guys we support. I was terrified leading up to it, but found it to be way more comfortable than I expected. Beth and I flow well together. It would be partner with you again in the future. Stay tuned...big things in the works with us and they involve Portland! Keep up the energy as always and blessings to your family also. Take good care,

Consider it done Destree...that's why we went right? What you receive from me, in kind I receive from you. Network, connect, and live what we learned. The necessary element will be to find a way to get back yearly! If we are the people that are moving the message forward, then we need to refresh and recharge. Anytime you need to chat...

Hey Destree,

I am excited about funneling the energy gained to the people I'm connected with here in San Diego. It was great to meet you and I look forward to an on going relationship. It is going to be important for us all to maintain the energy and harness it in a great way. Be great!
