I am the mother of two children - my son Nicholas has severe cerebral palsy. I am the author of a book on disability, social policy and ethics titled "The Four Walls of My Freedom" (McArthur and Co., 2010)
What would you like to contribute to this community? What would you like to receive?
I would like to network in order to exchange views on recreating support systems of community care in Ontario and Canada.
How did you hear about this community?
Google and I have heard about Jack Pearpoint and Marsha Forest's work for many years. I am the co-founder of Lifetime Networks Ottawa, an affiliate of PLAN.
What are some of the questions you'd like to explore, or conversations you'd like to have with others in this community?
Why should taxpayers care about our children, much less pay? What is a good life and how can we get one?
