Profile Information

Please share something about yourself, your work, and what draws you to the Inclusion Network online community.
I have been an advocate for 20 years within the school system. I am currently unemployed. I have 2 children, 22 and 24, who have disabilities. The supports for people once they are out of the school system are less visable and we are learning how to navigate that system.
What would you like to contribute to this community? What would you like to receive?
I would like to share my experiences and hear how other people have managed their lives to better help my daughters. My youngest daughter, who is visually impaired, is becoming quite the advocate herself within the DD community. As she learns, she is sharing with her peers and we recently created a web site for her to help do that. I thought this would be a wonderful resource for us to help do that.
How did you hear about this community?
I knew about it and have heard Jack Pearpoint speak.
What are some of the questions you'd like to explore, or conversations you'd like to have with others in this community?
I'd just like to hear what other people are doing.

I wrote a book about my experiences with the daughters. It includes all my articles and more information.
