We have one microboard who just got a home from Habitat for Humanity. Very cool he helped work on it every weekend and now it is his. Another Microoard bought a home through the Home of your own Program a few years ago. It was much more flexible in regards to location and type of home but tricky with timing. you apply and wait once you have been approved there was a very limited time to use the 10,000.00 down payment. I know another family that did not get to use it because the house got sold while they were waiting and they could not find another if the price range within the time line. Not sure what the funding for Home of your own if currently.
