Please share something about yourself, your work, and what draws you to the Inclusion Network online community.
I have had a consulting/training practice since 1990 with focuses on facilitating various approaches to personal planning, developing friendships and community connections and circles, positive approaches to challenging behaviour, and leadership, change and welcoming communities. I am always excited to connect and share with others who have these passions. I also write and create video on these topics.
What part of the world do you live in? Would you share a bit about your neighbourhood?
I live in London, Ontario and have worked in various parts of Canada, the US and the UK. I live in a lovely neigbourhood near the University with great gardens and a park nearby, and within walking distance to downtown and another park that has festivals thorughout the summer. I have lived here since 1990 and appreciate the beauty and the friendliness.
What would you like to contribute to this community? What would you like to receive?
I would like to connect with others who share my work interests as well as how the arts and spirituality inform our work and lives. I am also interested in how others are building hospitality and a sense of real belonging where they live and work. I would like to share what I am learning and experiencing about all of these areas.
How did you hear about this community?
Moat recently thorugh this year's Summer Institute.
What are some of the questions you'd like to explore, or conversations you'd like to have with others in this community?
How are others advocating for/with people who are being harmed/hurt in the name of "treatment" for "behavioural" and mental health issues?
How are people moving beyond a disability focus, as positive as it may be, to escape silos and look at whole community?
