Greetings

I am Ms. Rogill (Jill) Anderson-Clute. I am a Michigan State University graduate and have been the parent of a special needs child. I have also been an educator for twenty-four years. I have written a children’s book that would be a valuable resource to teach the foundations of Character Education and Inclusive Education, while addressing practices that create inequitable educational experiences for children with disabilities.

Through children’s literature, and through the eyes of a child, we can understand the child.

Who Will Hold the Lemonade? Written by Rogill L. Anderson

Who Will Hold the Lemonade? is a sweet story that addresses life’s bitter realities. It is a story that brings to light the need for tolerance, acceptance, and understanding regarding special children. All children need to find their place of acceptance - a place in which they find their own value and purpose and grow, confidently, into self-assured and self-accepting individuals. Special children sometimes have a harder time finding their place because they are often shunned and excluded by their peers and their struggle to find themselves is mired in self-doubt and sadness. This book is for anyone who wants to make a difference in the life of a special child, or any child. It teaches a valuable lesson in the sweet and far-reaching effects of kindness in sharp contrast to the bitter reality of exclusion...one pitcher of lemonade at a time.
